London has a number of great markets and
Borough Market is one of those markets. Borough Market is primarily a food market at it has a number of stalls offering a wide variety of interesting food and drink. Thought I'd share some photos I took there over the weekend. (The building in the background of this picture is called
The Shard [like a shard of glass].
The Shard is the tallest building in Europe and is in fact entirely covered with glass. The building just opened on July 5, 2012.)
A couple of different play on words here. "Cow pie" is the first and obvious, especially to Americans. The second not so obvious play on words is "Sebastian Cow".
Sebastian Coe is a former English Olympian who won four Olympic medals. Coe is now the chairman of the organization that is running the London Olympics (
London Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games).
