London 2016? Might the Olympics Return to London?

Given the construction delays in Rio, a number of news sources (London Evening Standard, The Telegraph, RT.com, Mirror, Londonist and Timeout)  are reporting the possibility of the Olympics returning to London in 2016.  Even if they don't, all of these articles contain some great photos from the 2012 Games.                                

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to Open this Saturday

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will open this Saturday, April 5, 2014.  Work originally started on the 568 acre park 10 years ago.  There's information on the park here and you can see some photos of what the park's going to look like in this BuzzFeed article.  Here is the Londonist's take on the new park.  I guess the guy who wrote the BuzzFeed article wasn't the only one trying out the swings.
